Patient Point of View Sessions - Wednesday

This session track features dialysis patients and caregivers who will address these learning objectives:

  • How to listen to the patients to better understand how to create the most successful dialysis treatment

  • Understand what the patient hears and sees during treatment

Infection Control & Prevention Sessions - Wednessday

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify unsafe practices that put nephrology patients at risk for infection in dialysis settings. 

  •  Describe proper infection control techniques.

  •  Help technicians understand the WHY of infection control and WHO they are protecting

Vascular Access Sessions - Wednesday

Co-sponsored by American Society for Diagnostic and Interventional Nephrologists (ASDIN)

Learning Objectives:

  • Examine the elements of the Vascular Access KDOQI Guidelines ESKD Life-Plan and the Access PLAN that supports the chosen dialysis modality

  • Understand the components of Access PLAN process of care to maintain and preserve AV access

  • Review the role of the dialysis care team in the pre and post intervention process of care
